Sony have announced a special show to celebrate the release of The Last Of Us: Remastered on Playstation 4 to take place next week.
On Monday 28th July, for one night only, the cast of Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic masterpiece will be performing live readings of select scenes in Santa Monica, California before the remastered edition hits shelves on the 29th of July. Some of the actors set to appear include Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson, Hana Hayes and Annie Wersching, the talents behind Joel, Ellie, Sarah and Tess respectively. The range of cast members indicates that this will be an eclectic performance, recounting many of the emotional and wonderful scenes throughout the entire game.
The readings will be performed under the watchful eye of creative director Neil Druckmann and as if that wasn’t enough, Gustavo Santaolalla will also be there to perform pieces from the game’s excellent soundtrack.
This is shaping up to be one hell of a celebration for one of the greatest titles of recent years. Tickets are free for those lucky enough to be in California on Monday but for the rest of us, the event will be streamed live on Twitch, YouTube and the Playstation Network Live Event Viewer.
So which scenes are you most looking forward to seeing read live? Answers in the comments or leave a message on our Facebook page!
