Valve and Nexon have announced that the open beta for the new Counter-Strike game, Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies, will arrive on Steam later this month.
The game, set for release in Q4 of this year, will be free to play, will be the western version of Korea’s Counter Strike Online 2 and when released will be available in Europe, North America, and Oceania. As well as classic modes such as Bomb Diffusion and Hostage Rescue, Valve and Nexon have added all new modes for gamers to play upon release of the Beta and the game such as Shelter Mode, Bazooka Mode, Beast Mode, Football Mode and various other Zombie themed modes.
There are also a whole host of new guns, the ability to play as a male or a female, and also you can play as a zombie if you get taken down by the flesh hungry horde. Gamers will also be pleased to know that the game will continually be updated as time passes and the developers will be listening to players comments and thoughts about the game on the Steam Community Hub
The original Counter-Strike was developed as a mod for Half-Life by Minh Le and Jess Cliffe in 1999 and as of August 2011 the Counter-Strike franchise has sold 25 Million copies.
