Right now players can download the latest update for Creative Assembly‘s latest horror game Alien Isolation featuring two new game modes, Nightmare mode for all you Ripley wannabe’s or if the thought of taking on a God-like alien gives you the shivers there is also a novice mode.
As well as featuring the standard issue smarter A.I, players are tasked with coping with a broken motion tracker which has a distorted display and feeds you unreliable information, scarce resources, more aggressive androids and humans, and the map system has gone offline so you have no idea if you are headed in the right direction.
On the subject of the Alien, Creative Assembly said:
“The Alien AI has been upgraded, ramping up its aggression to punishing levels. It’s more adaptive, learning players’ tactics faster, has heightened senses and will give players no ‘second chance’ encounters. Nightmare Mode is the ultimate Alien experience.”
If the Nightmare mode isn’t up your street then the novice mode will give you a nice easy stroll through Sevastepol Station. In this mode players have more resources and ammunition to find, the androids and humans will be much weaker, and the Alien will be less aggressive and easily distracted.
The update is available to download now and Alien Isolation is available for purchase now on Playstation 3 and 4, Xbox 360 and One, and PC.
