NEW BROTHERS IN ARMS TITLE “STILL IN THE WORKS” SAYS GEARBOX

According to Gearbox head Randy Pitchford, the company is still working on the next game in the Brothers in Arms series and a follow up to 2008’s ‘Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway

Pitchford has said that the game is still in it’s early stages whilst speaking at Develop Brighton 2015, a statement he also made in 2013 whilst speaking to IGN. He also stated that he is looking for extra help to bring the project to life but when this happens, expect things to move along at greater pace:

“I think the next Brothers in Arms game has to be authentic and we have been working on that. I feel we have unfinished business there with both the fiction and the history and I’d like to get into that. I spend a lot of time thinking about it.

Sadly it takes a lot of resources, energy and money to do what must be done, so it’s not something I feel I could completely do alone. I need good partners for it, so we’ve been talking to great folks but it’s really putting all that together that’s the limiting factor. Once we put all the partnerships together in terms of publishing, collaborators and creatives, we can talk about it.”

Pitchford then went on to say that he would be able to speak at greater length about the next Brothers in Arms game once all the development and the partners have been confirmed for the game:

“I feel like I’m on the brink of it, but we’re not quite there yet. But we’re in the incubation phase with the next one there, for sure.”

Originally Gearbox did announce a new game in the Brothers in Arms series titled ‘Brothers in Arms: Furious 4‘, however ever since the title was announced at the Ubisoft 2011 E3 press conference not much had been heard since. But after dropping the ‘Brothers in Arms’ part of the title, most of the gameplay elements were transferred to another Gearbox project, Battleborn
