PLAYSTATION 20TH ANNIVERSARY: DISCOUNTS ON CLASSIC GAMES

To coincide with the Playstation’s 20th anniversary, Sony have announced that some of their classic games will be available at a discounted price.

This announcement came via the EU PS Blog which listed a gigantic list of games spanning from PS One all the way to the PS Vita, although PS4 games will not be included.

PS Store and Plus content manager Chris Howe had this to say:

“Can you believe on this day 20 years ago Sony changed the world of gaming by launching the original PlayStation? To celebrate this momentous occasion PlayStation Store is slashing the prices of some classic titles to help bring back some of our best memories.”

Here’s a selection of some of the best games on offer:

PS One:

  • Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
  • Tomb Raider
  • Driver
  • Tekken 1 & 2
  • Crash Bandicoot 1 & 2
  • Destruction Derby
  • MediEvil
  • Twisted Metal
  • WipEout
  • Metal Gear Solid

PS 2:

  • GTA 3
  • GTA: Vice City
  • Medal Of Honour: European Assault

PS 3: (Between 03/12/2014 – 17/12/2014)

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

Between 10/12/14 – 24/12/14

  • GTA V
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Although there is a sale going on in Europe, nothing has been announced for North America as of yet. Sony have also released a limited edition version of the Playstation 4 designed in a similar style as the PS One
